Interim Department Management
Nutrition Systems’ CDM consultants will serve as the food service department manager in times when a full-time Certified Dietary Manager is not employed. Our CDM consultants will be responsible for the daily operations of your food service department, according to facility policy and procedures and federal/ state regulations. Our consultants will provide leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and client expectations are satisfactorily met. Maintaining records of department personnel, income and expenditures, food, supplies, inventory levels, and equipment will be paramount to your facility’s success.

Training and staff development
Nutrition Systems’ CDM consultants will provide an evaluation of current departmental operational policies and procedures and staff educational needs. The CDM consultant will provide guidance and instruction to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulatory guideline utilizing in-service instruction based on your training schedule. Our CDM consultants are ServSafe certified and are certified to instruct the ServSafe course and proctor the certification test in-house.

Operational Evaluation and Quality Assurance
Nutrition Systems’ CDM consultants can evaluate your Food and Nutrition Services department. Our CDM consultants will provide a clear picture of where things stand, where you want to go, and a map to get there. A CDM consultant will complete evaluation of your facility operations by performing the following; Sanitation audit, Safety audit, resident meal delivery system evaluation, Diet order accuracy, Test tray Evaluation, Resident satisfaction, Inventory, Purchasing and order process, Cleaning schedule record.
Our CDM consultant will also provide a complete clinical review of charts to ensure assessments are up to date, MDS, Careplan, CAA, quarterly notes, significant changes, hospital returns, weight records, wound care, skin reports, to ensure your facility follows State and Federal regulations.

CDM Credentialing Assistance
Nutrition Systems’ CDM consultant will utilize their experience in Food and Nutrition services operations to guide, mentor and facilitate course completion based on a timeline set by the facility. Our CDM consultants will monitor and evaluate your enrolled students’ progress in the chosen pathway to become a Certified Dietary Manager.
